It’s heeeeeere!! A new catalogue is always an exciting time, and I’m thrilled to share this one with you! This stamp set caught my eye long before I ever saw it in the catalogue, because it was one of the ones being produced when we went on a tour of the Stampin’ Up! factory in Kanab, Utah back in August. It was a great trip, with friends from all over the world, and the factory tour was definitely a highlight…
I saw it on the production line and knew I had to have it, and now finally I can share it with all of you too… Isn’t it the perfect stamp set for me and all the dog lovers in your life?
I made two different cards with two different styles for this blog hop. The first I stamped the image twice, once in Crumb Cake on a Crumb Cake card base, then a second time on a piece of Basic White. I colored in some of the dog accessories with a Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker, did a bit of distressing and put it all together!
I love the sentiments too, they’re from a very cool set of an embossing folder and a die that you can use together. I actually didn’t stamp the greeting, but rather used a brayer to add ink to the folder before I embossed and die cut all together in one pass through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine!
The second card I cut out a circle from a stamped image, colored it to look like Cara’s dog Odie, and then popped it up on an uncolored layer to create a ‘spotlight’ effect.
The sentiment for this card came from the stamp set Cradled in Love, which is a super sweet baby themed set you can get for free when you place an order during Sale-A-Bration!
