This month’s Stampin’ Dreams blog hop is all about stepping up your cards! I used the Painted Christmas suite to revisit a layout I used a while ago and don’t think I shared. The first version was quick and simple….

By just adding an embossed layer and an extra bow, I stepped it up to this version…

Then I went all out! I added multicolored stamping, distressed layers, and die cuts along with extra embellishments to create this over the top version…

Here’s another look at all three versions! Which is your favorite?

I also needed a swap, so I figured I’d work on a swappable version too! All I had to do was switch out the ribbon (I didn’t have enough on hand) for some brushed gold foil, and made them with different DSP patterns as well. Did you notice the details on the envelopes?

I made two different versions of a decorated envelope. For the one on the left I embossed the flap, and on the right I added stamped sentiments. I also decorated the inside of the card with a strip of DSP to coordinate!
