Welcome to another Crafty Collaborations Blog Hop! Today we’re creating a virtual Pride Parade, featuring projects celebrating the LGBTQ2+ community. While in the USA Pride Month is July, here in Canada we celebrate for most of the summer, with events happening all over the place during the hottest days of the year!
I shared this resource I created with some of the different Pride flags and their Stampin’ Up! colors, and wanted to use it as a starting point for my projects…
I picked a few of those flags and recreated them in cardstock for the fronts of my cards… Then added some cute images and sentiments to them as well! Here’s a look at what I came up with…
I love the Count On Me stamp set because not only does it have some ADORABLE animals, it also has some sentiments that are perfect for cards of celebration and support for the LGBTQ2+ community (and anyone really!). Do you know what each of the flags means? There’s some great resources out there, including a Wikipedia article on Pride flags.
Or course I can never leave you without a little insight and a tip on how I made this card. I liked the sentiment “Love comes in all shapes and sizes” but by only inking up the last part of the sentiment, it allowed me to add the word “Love” in a different stamp to add some interest and dimension.
