Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop Welcomes the New Annual Catalogue

This hop is all about featuring some of the awesome new products from the new annual catalogue. You’re probably here from Kath’s blog, so welcome! If you stopped in directly to my post, hop along to the others on the hop to check out some of their wonderful projects.

Let me tell you, this catalogue is a doozy! There’s so many fabulous products that I had a hard time choosing. But I finally decided to feature one of the amazing new stamp sets that gets better every time I look at it, and some of the products that coordinate so well with it.

Presenting the Sprinkles of Life stamp set! This is this years Ronald McDonald House Charities set, so a portion of every sale goes towards funding these great causes. I know several people who’ve made use of the RMHC house nearest me, and I know they have a huge impact on the families that need them. Just because this set wasn’t awesome enough already, there’s a coordinating punch too!

I actually held a class based around this stamp set and punch, and I’m sure your demonstrator can do the same (if you need a demo, contact any of us on this blog hop and we’d be happy to help you). We started out by pairing the stamp set with DSP from the Cherry On Top stack, my favourite new In Color Mint Macaron, and the Dotted Lace Ribbon. As a finishing touch, I used the fantastic new envelope paper to create a custom envelope for the card. This paper is amazing to work with, and a great touch for any card!

Next we made another card using the Cherry On Top paper. I used the Banner Triple Punch some more here too. I LOVE how easy it makes cutting flagged banners. No more finding the centre or fiddling with square punches. I love how I made this card, which has a totally different look and feel to it than the last one, using essentially the same supplies!

Now we moved onto some notecard sized cards. These are so quick and easy to put together, the cards and envelopes come together, and the cards are pre scored! They’re also a great size, and you’ll see why I think they’re so awesome in a minute. Both of these cards are CASEd from the South Pacific convention demonstrations.

The first card uses the silver thread from the silver baker’s twine to create the look of lightening behind the cloud. You could also use the new silver thread as well.

The second card uses some retired ribbon (shhh don’t tell anyone) to add an extra layer of fun texture. By using the punch shapes in a slightly different way, we create yet another completely different feel for the card.

Then we moved on to make this super cute 3×4 card. I love making these little cards because of how convenient it is to cut the envelope and card base pieces from 12×12 paper. Some more ribbon, some sequins, and this card is perfect to tuck in with a birthday basket or gift!

Last but not least, we made this adorable gift bag using the gift bag punch board. I skipped the gussets on the side, and used just the tree builder punch to make the cute little bird and tree embellishment. The sentiment comes from another of my favourite stamp sets that carried over from the Occasions Catalogue called Sheltering Tree. And best of all, the note card sized cards and envelopes fit inside this bag perfectly! Wouldn’t this make a great gift, filled up with cards for any occasion?

OK, so I was a bit of an overachiever for this blog hop, six items instead of three. But don’t let that distract you from how amazing everyone else’s projects are! You can head back to Kath’s blog, or forward to Jean’s blog to start along the way to see them all!

If you’d like to buy any of the current products here, or would like to organize a class based around them, get in touch with your demonstrator today!
