Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop : March Madness

This month’s blog hop has been one of my favourites! I’m a little mad, so this was perfect. It’s been spring here for a while too (sorry for all my winter bound friends), so I’m totally feeling the flowers and colourful things.

If you’re new to my blog, you probably came from Jackie’s blog, welcome! You can also follow along to the next stop and visit Gail.

My first project, my fancy fold, is using the scallop tag topper punch. These cards are so fun (and easy) to make, but I don’t make enough of them! I made one as a swap last year for convention, and then the technique sat on the shelf for most of a year. I busted it out again for this card though, using some different colours and the awesome Painted Petals stamp set and Painted Blooms designer series paper.

My next project is a shaking it up just a bit (get it? I’m so funny). I made this card for a friend who just LOOOOOOVES confetti. The Celebrate Today stamp set and coordinating Balloon Framelits made it come together in a snap. The Star Confetti punch is another of my favourites, makes it so easy to make a ton of confetti in any colour!

Last but not least, I don’t usually make boxes or other 3D projects, so I didn’t think I needed the bow builder punch. But I got it. And then I made these little toppers for these little candy boxes (that I totally CASEd from Rachel Legge). And then I realized how much I needed to have it. Wouldn’t these make a great little “just because” gift or as a nice little extra in an easter basket?

So now that’s you’ve checked out my projects, hop along the blog hop trail to Gail’s blog and follow along to check out everyone else’s fabulous projects! Any and all of the supplies I used here today are available from Stampin’ Up!, so if you’d like to get them for yourself, contact your demonstrator today!

  1. Love your Madness projects, Stefanie! I didn't think I needed that Bow Builder Punch either. But, it's on my Wish List now!

  2. I'm with you, Stefanie – didn't think I needed the Bow Builder Punch until I got it – so cute!! Shaker cards are one of my favourites, too. Thanks for reminding me about the closure using the tag topper punch, too!

  3. I love all 3 of your projects! I need to try that tag topper card. Your second card is fantastic. And those boxes are absolutely adorable. Thanks for sharing!

  4. I always like your projects, Stef. Thanks for sharing!! (P.S. I've been wondering if I should get the bow punch. I don't have the bow die yet either, but the punch may be better for my needs)

  5. Each of your projects is gorgeous! The Painted Petals and Blooms card is lovely, the shaker card is so fun, and your gift boxes remind me to get that punch out!! You have convinced me that Spring is here!

Those are such fun to make and yours looks great made using the combination of the Painted Petals stamp set and Painted Blooms DSP. What a cute shaker card! Love the stars confetti and those great die-cut banners.
I'm going to have to try making one of your toppers with my Bow Builder punch. What a great idea! They really dress up the little boxes.

  7. Hmm, I know I commented last night, but it seems to be gone. I love all the colors in all 3 of your projects. The DSP seems to be a real favorite with everyone.
    Darling boxes.

  9. great job on the shaker card – love how you did the strings down from the balloon. Your tag topper card is quite elegant.

  10. The Painted Petals card is so cheery and rich. Love the purple!

The shaker card is crisp and happy, and I love that you cut out the banners. (I love fussy cutting!)

I wish you wouldn't have shared the bow builder punch…now I might just have to get it! (hee hee)

  11. Stephanie your projects are delightful. I love making the Scalloped Tag Topper punch card and it is a wow every time. I like how you incorporated the newest Tag Topper punch on the face of the card. Your shaker card is so wonderful. I would love to receive that card. So much fun! And finally if I do nothing else tonight I'm running down to my craft room and making one of these super cute little box toppers! Luv, luv, luv them! Great job on all your projects. TFS.
