Wacky Water Cooler Blog Hop : Holidays & Autumn

This month’s Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop is all about the upcoming holidays and autumn! If you haven’t wandered around a hop before, you can follow the “previous” and “next” buttons at the bottom of the post to go round and round to check out everyone else’s projects.

You’ve probably come here from Teri’s blog if you’re following the hop, and if so, welcome! Didn’t she do a fabulous job?

I’ve been doing a lot of Christmas cards, so I decided to do something different. I have a few fall birthdays coming up, so I made some fall themed birthday cards. First I cut out the leaves from the Fun Fall dies in a variety of ‘leafy’ colours plus gold glimmer paper, distressed the card stock leaves with a scoring tool, and sponged them with Crumb Cake ink.

For the first card I also stamped some of the pumpkins from the Fall Fest set, die cut, and sponged them. Some burlap ribbon and tone on tone stamping with the Hardwood background stamp, and a few of the left over leaves got tucked on the inside before being shipped off to it’s recipient!

I still had A LOT of leaves left, so I busted out the sewing machine and set about making a bit of a garland. Once all the leaves were stitched together, I adhered them to a card, alternating with the gold sequin trim.

A few more sequins inside along with the last two leaves, and I’m all done!

I hope you enjoyed my projects, go ahead and check out the rest of the Water Cooler projects by following along the hop to Teri or Pricilla’s projects, and check out the main blog to see everyone listed. If you’d like to learn how to make any of the projects on the hop, or buy any of the products we’ve showcased, contact your demonstrator today!

  1. Wow, Stefanie! Great cards. I'd love to pull the fall banner off the second one and string it up–two gifts in one! Thanks for sharing.

  2. Hi Stefanie, thanks so much for being part of the blog hop. I'll bet you're seeing leaves in your dreams, aren't you? I sure am and I think I created as many as you did. What awesome cards! I love all the elements in that first card, with the burlap ribbon tucked behind but still peeking out. That hardwood stamp is the perfect background, too. But your second card! Oh my! You pulled out all the stops, didn't you? I love it! You almost have me to the point where I may pull out my own sewing machine to see what wonders I could create. TFS
