Organization: Dies

I wanted to quickly share something I did recently to help me stay more organized. I had two drawers and a shelf full of dies for my Big Shot. It was getting to be difficult to find what I wanted, and frustrating to look at!

I purchased this binder and the matching page protectors at an office supply store. It’s half the size of a regular binder, so 5.5×8.5 inches. I also bought magnetic sheets (on the shelf with the specialty paper), cut them in half and slid them into the page protectors.

Each sheet holds at least one of my sets of thinlits, framelits, or edgelits. Some I was able to double or triple up, and they all fit into 15 sheet protectors! The magnet sheets hold the dies so that I can slide the pages in and out without losing anything, but they are still easy to pull off when I need to use them.

The only ones that didn’t fit into the page protectors are the thinlits card dies, but I simply tucked them into the front and back pockets of the binder. The little pieces that went with them are stuck onto pages inside that made sense to me. For example the extras from the labels die card fit onto the page with my labels framelits.

I still have a shelf of Originalz and Bigz dies, but getting the thin metal ones out of the way has made a HUGE difference. I even decorated the cover with some DSP, stamps, and of course a die. Check out the cute little staples from our new mini-stapler!
