One of my favourite things to do is to make cards tailored to the recipient. So when it came time to make a card and a gift for a very special lady in my life, I knew I had to do something special for her. I started off with colours, in this case, purple (Blackberry Bliss) and indigo (Island Indigo). Then the image, a humming bird. While there are several humming bird images available, and I have a few of them, I decided to make my own.
The Undefined stamp carving kit makes carving your own custom stamps a breeze. This is the largest size of wood block you get with the kit. However it’s easy to make a full sized background stamp by attaching the rubber to cling foam.
A card isn’t complete without a gift! I know that the recipient of this gift is crafty, so I made her a set of cards to assemble and stamp her self, with her new stamp of course! This is a sample I made that doubles as the case cover.
Inside are all the bits needed to make half a dozen cards, ready to stamp, assemble, and mail!
