Sympathy cards are hard. Often when we have a need for them it’s exactly when we don’t want to be creative. I needed one this week and decided to accomplish two goals in one. First I made this card for my friend (CASEd from Bonnie Klass) and then I made an extra envelope so that she could reuse it.
The card and envelope pictured here are from the notecard set, so they’re slightly smaller than a regular card. They fit perfectly into a regular sized envelope for mailing though!
I used white shimmer paper (retired unfortunately), and spritzed the flowers with water before stamping to give them a more water colored look.
Beautiful card Stefanie! Love the idea of including an extra envelope for reuse. This Love and Sympathy has to be one of my favorite sets for many occasions including Sympathy.
Good news: The shimmer paper is still available..it's the glossy that retired.
You're totally right! I've never used the glossy, but got some with the plans of trying a specific technique with it. The shimmer however I love and am so glad you clued me it! I can't keep it all straight sometimes!
