Do you love coloring stamped images? It’s a love it or hate it activity, but there’s so many options! Take a look at all the different ways I colored this image from the So Very Merry stamp set which is available as an Online Exclusive right now.

  • For the first image I just stamped the image in Real Red ink, then used a Wink of Stella brush to pull color into the open areas with some glimmer!
  • The second image I used watercolor pencils to add color to an embossed image, then used blender pens and Wink of Stella to blur the colors a bit (and add glimmer to some areas).
  • With an embossed image, I also used a blender pen to pick up ink from an ink pad lid and add it to the image.
  • I also colored the embossed image with Stampin’ Write markers.
  • For the Stampin’ Blends image, I first stamped the image with Memento ink, then colored it in. Afterwards I embossed the image. This protects the marker from damage that can occur from using the alcohol markers to color over embossed images.
  • The two watercolor images were first embossed onto watercolor paper, then for the wet on wet I sprayed the paper down with water before adding ink from an ink pad lid with a water painter.
  • For the wet on dry I skipped that first step, and painted in the image directly. Both images were then cut out and glued onto a punched white circle.

Put together here’s a look at the final card! I CASEd this from my friends Nancy and Kayla over at Stampin’ BAE.
